Monstera Leaf Tray or Bowl
This piece began as a hand-built bowl and was patiently transformed into a Monstera leaf through careful carving and shaping. Every cut was made with precision and care, creating the leaf’s signature fenestrations and gentle curves. The result is a functional art piece that works beautifully as a serving tray, catchall, or decorative bowl.
Each tray is one-of-a-kind—subtle variations in texture, thickness, and finish reflect the handmade process and give the piece its unique character.
About the Cat Tray
I was designing this tray on paper when my granddaughter saw it and insisted on helping. What started as a simple sketch turned into a shared project—this tray is a collaboration between my granddaughter Emmy and me.
Emmy contributed playful ideas and little details that made the design warm and whimsical. Together we refined the shapes, and added the tiny touches that give the tray its charm. The result is a piece that carries both of our personalities: my love of clean lines and function, and Emmy’s joyful, imaginative spark.
This tray is made with care and a lot of love—perfect for holding keys, jewelry, or a favorite mug—and it’s a reminder of the small moments of creativity shared across generations.
